Palestinian Casualties in Israeli Strikes

Overnight Israeli strikes in Gaza have resulted in at least 27 Palestinian deaths, adding to the escalating toll in the region. 

The strikes, part of Israel's ongoing military operations, targeted areas suspected of harboring militant infrastructure. 

Local health officials report that the casualties include civilians, with residential areas heavily impacted. 

The Gaza Health Ministry states that over 53,000 Palestinians have been killed since the conflict intensified following Hamas's October 7, 2023, attack, which killed 1,200 Israelis and took 251 hostages. 

The international community, including the UN, has expressed alarm over the humanitarian crisis, with famine warnings issued due to restricted aid access. 

Israel resumed minimal aid deliveries after global pressure, but only five trucks entered Gaza recently, far below the 600 daily during a prior ceasefire. 

The blockade continues to exacerbate food and medical shortages, with hospitals running low on fuel. Ceasefire talks remain stalled, with Hamas proposing a long-term truce, but Israel insists on military pressure to secure remaining hostages.
