Mining in Motion Summit to Boost Ghana’s Gold Industry
Ghana’s gold mining sector, a cornerstone of its economy, is set to receive a significant boost through the Mining in Motion Summit, scheduled for June 2 – 4, 2025, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra .  Organized by the Ashanti Green Initiative , in collaboration with Ghana’s Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, the World Bank , and the World Gold Council , the summit aims to bridge the gap between artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM) and large-scale miners (LSM).  This collaboration is critical for sustainable economic growth, as the ASM sector alone employs over one million Ghanaians and contributes over 40% of the country’s gold production, generating more than $5 billion in export revenue annually.
