In a swift crackdown on online threats, a popular Ghanaian TikToker known as Kwame Nkrumah II has been sentenced to seven months in prison for issuing death threats against President John Dramani Mahama and other high-ranking officials. David Kwodow Prah Afful, 30, who amassed followers on TikTok with his provocative videos, went viral last week after a livestream where he vowed to "end" the lives of the president, Members of Parliament, and government executives. In the footage, Afful, brandishing what appeared to be a weapon, also called for widespread violence, urging supporters to burn marketplaces and incite chaos across the country. The clip, shared widely on social media, sparked outrage and prompted a rapid police response.
