In a collaborative effort to combat breast cancer, Rabito Clinic and Communication for Development and Advocacy Consult (CDA Consult) have launched a targeted initiative aimed at female journalists in Ghana. This program, set to run from October 2nd to 30th, 2025, coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and seeks to provide free screenings and education directly at selected media houses.  The theme, “Female journalist, your story matters.  Don’t let breast cancer silence you,” underscores the vital role of journalists while addressing their unique health vulnerabilities. Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women worldwide, with approximately 2.3 million new cases diagnosed annually, according to the World Health Organization.  In Ghana, an alarming 67.7% of women aged 25-49 have unmet needs for screening, highlighting the urgency of such interventions.  Female journalists, often burdened by long hours, high stress, and irregular schedules, are particularly at risk of neg…
